On Wednesday, January 24, students at All Saints shared their projects, activities, prayers, and even pickleball with Monsignor Dubois, Deacon Luis Sanclemente and Superintendent Marianne Pelletier. The visit was planned to highlight our school for Bishop Deeley who unfortunately needed to change his plans due to illness. Our students delighted in having an audience to showcase their projects and our school.
Each grade had planned something special. Pre-K classes came together and presented a painting made of thumbprint balloons to send to the Bishop. Monsignor read a story with Kindergarteners, reviewed math centers with first grade and learned about 3-D printing in STEM class with second graders. One highlight came from our third grade class which has been learning about the different types of prayer. Students worked together to write a short prayer, then combined them to make one beautiful prayer that they read to Monsignor. Each class offered a prayer for healing and comfort for Bishop Deeley.
They played a spelling game with 4th grade, a science Kahoot with 6th grade, viewed 5th grade slideshows on famous explorers, and talked with 8th graders about seeing the ways that God has a hand in our lives. The seventh grade may have had the most fun with a lively and competitive game of pickleball which Monsignor and Deacon Luis won fair and square.
